Singida Eye Camp – A Film by Kym Rapier Foundation

In Singida, one of Tanzania's most underserved regions, treatable eye conditions like cataracts leave hundreds of thousands of people without sight and without options. For many, an eye camp is the only specialist care they will ever have access to.

The Kym Rapier Foundation spent time on the ground with our team during one of our eye camps, and at the heart of what they captured is Balbina – an older farmer who had lost sight in one eye and could no longer cook, work, or earn an income. Her journey through surgery and recovery is what this work is really about.
