Explore Our 2025 Impact Report

This year's report captures a foundation that's growing sharper, not just bigger, in how it serves Tanzania.

The Mo Dewji Foundation’s 2025 Impact Report is a transparent look at how education, healthcare, and water access came together this year to build a more resilient Tanzania. Inside, you’ll find outcomes that matter: lives improved, systems strengthened, and partnerships that scale impact across the country.

What’s Inside – At A Glance:

Education: 401 scholarships awarded across 30 higher-learning institutions, a 96% post-graduation success rate, and an average GPA of 3.8, alongside the launch of the Mo-Kerry Scholarship Program in partnership with Kerry Group.

Healthcare: 49,041 patients treated; 3,049 sight-restoring eye surgeries, surpassing the WHO success benchmark at 87% versus a target of 80%; 5,817 women reached through newly integrated gynaecological services; and 228 children supported through our Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus program, with mortality nearly halved, down from 15% to 6%.

Water: 33,200 people with access to safe water across 49 fully operational wells, plus the launch of our SaWa Bag pilot, bringing safe water storage directly into 8,700 people’s homes.

How We’re Evolving

Our healthcare camps went fully digital and fully integrated this year, bringing eye care, gynaecology, and Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus services under one roof. On the water side, we moved beyond wells alone, piloting the SaWa Bag and laying the groundwork for a One Water Strategy that ties water access to health, livelihoods, and climate resilience.

Partnerships That Amplify Our Impact

This year, we strengthened our network with a new collaboration, Kerry Group, building Africa’s next generation of food technologists, while deepening the long-standing partnerships that have supported this work for years. Together, they reflect a simple belief: a life is equal to a life, no matter what.
