Between January and June 2026, the Mo Dewji Foundation performed 4,238 cataract surgeries through 12 mobile eye camps. An internal Social Return on Investment analysis estimates that every $1 invested generated approximately $7.62 in social value.
This understanding has helped shape eye care into one of the Foundation’s strongest ongoing pillars. As we continue to expand our reach, our ambition is to work towards a nationalized strategy that can make avoidable cataract blindness increasingly rare across Tanzania.
